Event Objective

The protest aims to raise awareness about the critical need to protect the Indus River and oppose the construction of new canals in Punjab, Pakistan. This event is part of a global movement on the International Day of Action for Rivers.

Event Schedule

1. Gathering and Distribution of Protest Materials

• Participants will gather outside the Pakistani High Commission. Protest materials, including flyers and banners, will be distributed.

2. Protest Action.

• Time: 15th March, 12:00 PM
• Participants will hold up signs and banners in protest of the Indus River’s destruction and the controversial canal projects.
• Slogans and chants will be raised to demand the protection of the river and the halting of new canals in Punjab.

• Participants will carry banners and placards with messages such as:

  • “Save the Indus River”
  • “Stop Canal Destruction!”
  • “Water is Life!”
