London, 25 March 2025 – Sardar Akhtar Mengal, President and leader of the Balochistan National Party (Mengal) (BNP Mengal), has declared a long march from Wadh to Quetta, Balochistan, scheduled for 28 March 2025. The march aims to demand the immediate release of Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Sammi Deen Baloch, and other innocent Baloch individuals, including mothers, sisters, daughters, and sons, who have been wrongfully detained by Pakistani military intelligence agencies.
The march also calls for the withdrawal of false charges against these individuals, highlighting the ongoing human rights violations in Balochistan. Mengal emphasised the need to stand against the oppressive actions of the Pakistani authorities and to demand justice for those affected by enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and the unjust detention of Baloch activists.
In his statement, Mengal reiterated the ongoing struggle of the Baloch people under Pakistani rule and affirmed his commitment to advocating for the rights and freedoms of the Baloch nation.
The long march is expected to draw attention to the urgent humanitarian crisis in Balochistan and unite the Baloch community in their fight for justice.
