Stand Up for Human Rights in BALOCHISTAN

I’m Aomar Karim, a Baloch in exile in the UK and a human rights & political activist raising awareness about ongoing violations in Balochistan. Through advocacy, storytelling & engagement with UK MPs and rights groups, I work to spread the message that Baloch Lives Matter—a call for justice, freedom & dignity.

InDepth Stories

“Smart, taut and electrifying, the tale fuses slapstick and the fun of a cat-and-mouse thriller with the serious reckoning work of a state-of-the-nation novel.” — The Guardian

This video features the book launch event of Rebel English Academy by award-winning author Mohammed Hanif.
The story begins when a major Pakistani political figure is hanged, triggering protests in OK Town. Nearby, Sir Baghi runs the Rebel English Academy language school, where an unexpected visitor, Sabiha, arrives seeking refuge while carrying a gun and hiding a violent and personal past. Meanwhile, disgraced intelligence officer Captain Gul is stationed in OK Town, tasked with suppressing unrest while navigating shifting loyalties, personal desire, and increasing political tension.
During this event, Mohammed Hanif reads excerpts from the novel and discusses its central themes, including political power, state violence, modern Pakistan, education, religion, sexuality, and dissent. The session also includes a Q&A addressing the Pakistan military, governance, and human rights issues.
Rebel English Academy is a darkly humorous, politically charged novel that explores a rapidly changing society through interconnected lives shaped by violence, humour, and resistance.

Equality & Solidarity for Balochistan

Standing up for justice and human rights is not just an act of support—it’s a moral duty. The Baloch people have been fighting for their freedom and dignity for decades, facing oppression and violence. You can amplify their voice and push for real change by showing solidarity.

Contact Your MP or Union-Sponsored MPs

Change starts with action. Write to your MP or speak to your trade union about the human rights abuses in Balochistan, demanding the UK government ends its support for Pakistan’s repression. Your voice matters—use it to demand justice.

Attend Rallies Organised by UK-Based Baloch Organisations

Rallies raise awareness and show support. By attending Baloch-led protests in the UK, you stand with those fighting for their rights. Every person sends a message: injustice won’t be ignored.
