London, United Kingdom – 19 October 2025: Members of the Baloch diaspora in the UK gathered on Sunday in front of 10 Downing Street, the official residence of the UK Prime Minister, to protest against the ongoing military operations in Zehri, Balochistan, and to highlight what they describe as systematic human rights violations by the Pakistani military.
The demonstration, held between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, aimed to raise international awareness of the situation in Balochistan, calling for action from the UK government, diplomats, and human rights organisations to end what activists referred to as a genocide of the Baloch people.
Activists Join Protest
The protest drew the attention and involvement of several prominent political figures from the Baloch community, alongside a wide range of activists committed to human rights and justice. Political activists, youth organisers, and advocates for Baloch self-determination stood shoulder to shoulder to voice their concerns over the ongoing violence and repression in Balochistan. Members of the Pashtoon community were also present, expressing their solidarity with the Baloch people and condemning the military operations taking place in Zehri and other parts of Balochistan. The demonstration reflected a growing sense of unity among ethnic and political groups in the UK who oppose state violence and demand international accountability.

“Our people are surviving genocide every moment in Balochistan, but here in the UK we are still divided,” said Aomar Karim, a well-known Baloch political activist based in the UK. Although he did not speak publicly during the event, he expressed privately: “It’s time we put aside personal issues and stand together for our nation. We have too many political parties and not enough unity while our people are being oppressed.”
Protesters Demand End to UK Aid to Pakistan
Participants voiced concerns over the continued UK aid funding to Pakistan, accusing the Pakistan Army of misusing foreign aid to fuel military operations against civilians in Balochistan, particularly in Zehri.
“UK taxpayers’ money is being used to fund war crimes,” said protester. “We are urging the UK government to investigate how its aid is being used and to immediately halt all military-related support to Pakistan.”
Placards displayed powerful messages about the Zehri Massacre, alleging mass killings, forced disappearances, and atrocities committed against women and children during military operations.
Disruption by Alleged Pro-Pakistan Agents

Tensions briefly escalated during the demonstration when Safina Khan, a self-identified journalist, attempted to disrupt the protest. Organisers allege that Khan is affiliated with the Pakistani government and has previously interfered in similar Baloch protests.
“This is not the first time. Safina Khan showed up at another protest earlier this year with the same intent,” said one organiser. “She is working as an operative for Pakistan and trying to create divisions or provoke participants.”
Two additional individuals believed to be linked to Pakistan’s intelligence agency (ISI) were also seen attempting to disrupt the protest. Organisers said police were called, but the response was slow, and officers did not attend the scene.
“We have filed formal complaints against Safina Khan and the two individuals who attempted to disturb our peaceful protest,” organisers confirmed. “These intimidation tactics will not stop us from raising our voices against Pakistan’s genocide in Balochistan.
