London 23 March 2025 – The Baloch National Movement (BNM) held a protest outside 10 Downing Street in London to highlight the ongoing human rights violations in Balochistan. The demonstration was a call for international attention to the escalating crisis in the region, with a focus on the Quetta Massacre and the unlawful detention of prominent Baloch activists.

Protesters gathered to demand justice for Mahrang Baloch and Bebarg Zehri, two leading Baloch figures recently arrested by Pakistani authorities. The protest also highlighted the 11-year forced disappearance of Zahid Baloch and Asad Baloch, leaders of the Baloch Students Organisation Azad (BSO-Azad), who have not been seen since their abduction on March 18, 2014.

The demonstrators condemned Pakistan’s ongoing state violence, which includes arbitrary arrests and enforced disappearances, and called for the immediate release of Mahrang Baloch and other detained activists. The protestors also urged the UK government and the international community to apply pressure on Pakistan to halt its crackdown on Baloch civil rights.
The BNM organisers emphasised that the situation in Balochistan remains dire, with many activists and political leaders facing torture, unlawful imprisonment, or disappearance. They called for an independent investigation into these human rights abuses and a global effort to ensure accountability.
As the protest unfolded in front of the UK Prime Minister’s residence, demonstrators were joined by supporters from various human rights and political groups, who voiced their solidarity with the people of Balochistan. The protest marked a growing call for international intervention in the region, Where activists face a long-standing pattern of repression by Pakistani authorities.
