London, 18 October 2025 – Aomar Karim, a London-based Baloch human rights and political activist, joined a peaceful protest in central London on Saturday, where demonstrators condemned ongoing military operations in Zehri, a district in Pakistan-administered Balochistan.
The protest, organised by the Baloch National Movement (BNM), formed part of a broader awareness campaign aimed at drawing international attention to alleged human rights abuses in the region. Participants accused the Pakistani military of enforced disappearances, house raids, and the imposition of curfews in Zehri — allegations that have been denied by Pakistani authorities.
The day began with a morning awareness campaign at Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square, where campaigners handed out leaflets and spoke with members of the public. The main protest followed outside the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), where demonstrators called on the UK Government to raise the issue at diplomatic and international levels.
Aomar Karim took part in the demonstration in support of the Baloch people and in solidarity with those affected by the military crackdown in Zehri. His presence was noted by fellow activists and organisers as part of a growing movement among Baloch diaspora communities to highlight the situation in Balochistan.
The event concluded with an afternoon awareness campaign at Trafalgar Square, ending peacefully at 5:00pm.
BNM representatives have called for international human rights organisations and global governments to take urgent notice of the situation in Zehri, which they described as being under siege.
