Jangiyan Baloch, a matric student and son of Abdullah Rashed from Panjgur, was reportedly subjected to enforced disappearance on May 26, 2025, from Janeen Paroom. According to his family, he was allegedly taken by a death squad along with personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC).
On February 15, 2026, his body was reportedly discovered dumped in the Shapatan area of Panjgur.
This tragic case reflects a deeply alarming pattern in Balochistan, where families continue to report enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and the dumping of bodies. Reports indicate that more than 10 similar incidents have occurred in the region within the past week alone.
The victimโs family had sought legal recourse by approaching the courts and relevant state institutions, hoping for the safe recovery of their loved one. Instead, they were confronted with his body, reportedly bearing signs of violence. Such incidents constitute serious human rights concerns and require urgent attention.
We call for a prompt, transparent, and independent investigation into this case and all similar incidents across Balochistan. Those found responsible must be brought to justice in accordance with the law.
We also urgently appeal to international human rights organisations, including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and the United Nations Human Rights Council, to take immediate notice of the situation in Balochistan, advocate for independent investigations, and ensure the protection of civilians.
