London, 12th October 2024: The World Sindhi Congress (WSC) held the 36th International Conference on Sindh, focusing on the Human Rights situation in Sindh and Balochistan, at the University of Westminster, Harrow Campus in London. This session featured distinguished speakers renowned for their contributions to human rights and civil activism.
Speakers:
Dr. Nasim Baloch: Chairman of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), addressing Pakistan’s human rights violations in Balochistan.
Fahim Zaman Khan: Author and Civil Activist, discussing how DHA and Bahria Town are grabbing people’s land in Sindh and the role of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in these land grab practices.
Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa: Researcher, discussing the human rights situation in Pakistan and the influence of the Pakistani Army on national politics.
Barrister Sulema Jahangir: Columnist and Civil Rights Activist, speaking on the alarming issue of child marriage among Sindhi girls, the conversion of Hindu girls to Islam by the Pakistani state and religious authorities, and the names of blasphemy-related killings that target innocent people.
