A wave of disturbing incidents has been reported across Balochistan — a region activists describe as occupied — where several unidentified and mutilated bodies have been recovered and a man is alleged to have been forcibly disappeared by security personnel.
In Kech district, the body of an unidentified young man was found in the Jantri Kor stream in the Buleda area. Local sources said the victim had sustained bullet wounds, suggesting he was shot dead before his body was dumped in the water.
The body was transferred to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examination and other medico-legal procedures.
In a separate incident, three mutilated bodies were discovered earlier this week in the Rara Sham area of Musa Khel district in the Loralai division.
Following preliminary investigations, two of the victims were identified as Fareed, son of Anwar Jan, a resident of Dukki Killi Safar Ali Baloch, and Mujeeb ur Rehman, son of Khair Muhammad, from Killi Zangiwal Kadezai in Loralai. The third body has yet to be identified.
Sources said all three bodies were found in a severely disfigured condition, raising serious concerns that they may have been subjected to torture prior to death. The bodies were moved to a local hospital to complete legal formalities.
Meanwhile, a case of enforced disappearance has been reported from Hub. According to witnesses, Sohrab Baloch, son of Amin Yaqoob, was detained from the Baloch Colony area by personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC), accompanied by officials of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
Witnesses claimed the arrest took place in broad daylight and without the presentation of a warrant. Family members say they were not informed of the reasons for his detention or of his current whereabouts.
Family members stated that Sohrab Baloch has previously been subjected to enforced disappearance on two occasions. He was allegedly abducted for four days in 2017 and again in 2019, when he remained missing for 40 days before being released. They said no case is currently pending against him in any court and demanded that, if there are allegations, he should be produced before a court of law in accordance with legal procedures.

The family insists that no case is currently pending against him in any court and has demanded that, if there are any allegations, he should be produced before a court of law in accordance with legal procedures.
These incidents come amid persistent reports of violence, enforced disappearances and the recovery of unidentified bodies across Balochistan, where human rights groups have repeatedly raised alarm over a deteriorating security situation and alleged systematic rights abuses.
