London – 11 August 2025 – The Baloch National Movement (BNM) organised a peaceful Pledge Renewal Day Rally in central London to commemorate Balochistan’s declaration of independence in 1947 and to renew calls for justice, freedom, and human rights.
The rally began at Trafalgar Square and proceeded to 10 Downing Street, drawing members of the Baloch community, human rights defenders, journalists, and supporters from diverse backgrounds.
Among those present was Baloch human rights and political activist Aomar Karim, who joined the march in solidarity with the cause. His participation reflected the shared commitment of the Baloch diaspora to highlight ongoing human rights concerns in Balochistan. Aomar Karim, who has been in exile in London, UK since 2022, continues to support global efforts to raise awareness about the plight of the Baloch people.
Participants carried banners, chanted slogans, and walked together in a show of unity and resilience. The event concluded peacefully outside Downing Street, serving as a reminder of the Baloch people’s continued struggle for recognition and self-determination.
The Pledge Renewal Day Rally remains a significant annual occasion for the Baloch diaspora, symbolising the enduring connection to their homeland and the collective determination to pursue freedom.
