Press Release
London, 29 September 2025 – Aomar Karim, London-based human rights and political activist, has strongly condemned the killing of Zubair Baloch, former chairman of the Baloch Students Organization (Pajjar), and his companion Nisar Baloch during a raid by Pakistani security forces in Dalbandin, Chagai district.
In a statement, Karim described the incident as “part of the systematic genocide of the Baloch nation by Pakistan” and urged the international community, the United Nations, and leading human rights bodies to take immediate action against what he called “state-backed atrocities in Balochistan.”
“This is not an isolated killing. It is part of a deliberate and systematic policy to silence political voices, students, lawyers, and activists in Balochistan. The world cannot remain silent while Pakistan continues its campaign of extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, and mass repression against the Baloch people,” Karim said.

He added that the incident raised serious questions for the global human rights community:
“This is a question mark for the so-called champions of human rights. On one hand, conferences are being held in Geneva and New York on how to make the world a cradle of peace, and on the other hand, Pakistan is openly crossing all limits of human rights violations by committing mass killings in Balochistan.”
Karim noted that Zubair Baloch was widely respected as a lawyer, student leader, and political activist, whose peaceful struggle for education, justice, and human rights had inspired thousands across the region. He stressed that his killing represented “not only the loss of an individual, but of the entire Baloch nation.”
Calling on governments, rights organisations, and the media, Karim warned that silence would amount to complicity:
“If the international community continues to ignore the Baloch genocide, history will judge this silence as collective failure. The time to act is now.”
