📖: The Baloch Yakjehti Committee convened a comprehensive academic conference on the topic of Gwadar’s fencing at the Quetta Press Club. Despite facing obstruction from local authorities, the event saw a significant turnout and robust engagement from attendees
#Gwadar Baloch Yakjeheti Committee (BYC), a Baloch rights organization from Balochistan, organized a day-long conference in Quetta Press Club on Saturday highlighting the issue of erecting a wall of barbed fencing around Gwadar city, calling it a project to open prison for locals.
The fencing project, if and when completed, will cut off the heart of Gwadar city. China, which is worried about the safety of its men and machines stationed at the strategic Gwadar port, has forced the Pakistanis to create a divide in Gwadar restricting the local Balochis from travelling within the city.

He previously served as the Chief Minister of Balochistan between 1997 and 1998 and later he served as a member of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly. Mengal also served as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from August 2018 till August 2023.

Dr. Mahrang Baloch’s speech at Asma Jahangir’s conference #AJCONF2024
Dr Mahrang Baloch, the representative of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, attended #asmajahangir ‘s conference #AJCONF2024, the largest gathering of #HRDs, #journalists, and activists in South Asia. On April 28th, she addressed the conference, highlighting the toll of violence, enforced disappearances, and #humansrightsabusesinBalochistan.
She further expressed “We want to move towards a Pakistan where there is no hate, we are a distressed nation, you will have to stand in solidarity with us, ”till Pakistan’s parliament & judiciary resolve the issue of missing persons, there can be no real democracy. Missing person’s families are facing threats, She claimed.
“Balach Moula Bux’s murder is a stain on Pakistan’s judiciary and military,” asserted BYC’s leader Mahrang Baloch. Moreover, she added that “Numerous FIRs have been filed against families of missing persons simply for demanding justice and protesting against enforced disappearances.

He is also the author of Crimson Papers (2017), a book of essays on the political and social history of Pakistan.

Urgent Call to Action Grand Protest Rally for Missing Student Khudadad Siraj
the family members of Khudadad Seraj, a Baloch student who has been forcibly disappeared, convened a press conference. Despite over a week of sit-in protest and assurances from the district administration, Khudadad Seraj’s whereabouts remain unknown.
The family has now announced a Grand protest rally in Turbat on March 31st. BYC stands in solidarity with the family’s rightful demand and urges all families of forcibly disappeared individuals to join the protest and advocate for the safe return of their loved ones.
