Wafa Baloch, a resident of Paroom tehsil in Panjgur district, was allegedly killed by Pakistani paramilitary forces near the Goldsmith Line, which separates Balochistan under Pakistani and Iranian control.
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has claimed that Baloch had previously been subjected to an enforced disappearance for six months before being released. The group asserts that he was killed while working as a border driver. The incident has been described by BYC as part of an ongoing pattern of violence and human rights abuses in the region.
There has been no immediate response from Pakistani security agencies regarding these claims. However, similar allegations of enforced disappearances and targeted killings have been recurring issues in Balochistan, with human rights groups and local activists consistently raising concerns over the safety of civilians in the region.
