Thank you for reading, and don't forget to share!
Honourable Journalists,
The ongoing state oppression in Balochistan is better known to you than anyone else. In a short period, we have not only witnessed but endured state oppression. Similarly, dozens of journalists affiliated with your institution have also fallen victim to this oppression. Who better than you knows what enforced silencing means? You are well aware of threats of enforced disappearances, harassment, and threats to take lives.
Honourable Journalists,
For the last seven decades, Balochistan has faced state pressure for enforced silencing. State oppression, exploitative schemes, plundering of resources, and political engineering have been continuously used to maintain power. To preserve this power and to violate the legitimate human rights of Baloch people, five large military operations have been conducted, and for the past twenty years, graveyards are being established in Balochistan, yet no one asks, what has been achieved? Or what is the aim of this oppression? This is our homeland, which has been chopped up like a cake. The reckless plundering of resources continues, and today, some sit in the mainstream Pakistani media talking about dividing Balochistan into different units, cutting off our lifeline, Gwadar, or denying our historical reality. If all these things are examined closely, one answer that emerges is the eradication of the Baloch from the face of the earth, erasing their identity, dividing a homeland that has existed for thousands of years, all to fulfil the desires of the rulers in Islamabad.

Baloch Yakjehti Committee
Honourable Journalists,
Balochistan is our homeland, and speaking out against the oppression we face is our natural right. We will reiterate, the right to live on our land, which God has granted us, and which we inherited through the sacrifices of our ancestors, the right to breathe, to make decisions, is our inherent right. And whenever any power has tried to take this natural right from us, the Baloch have never stepped back, despite being in a weaker position. Our national history, culture, way of life, and moral and traditional relationships are unknown to the rulers, their intellectuals, and journalists, who boast in media briefings and talk shows. Their distorted narratives make objective truths harder to find. Our history is filled with stories of resistance, and with every passing day, new chapters are being written in the historical resistance of the Baloch. But those in power, intoxicated by the taste of power, continue to threaten the Baloch with annihilation.
Honourable Journalists,
The political history of the Baloch has been written in the blood of political activists. If we look at the political struggle of the last seven decades, we will see that political leaders and activists have endured harsh jail sentences, kissed the noose of execution, and cooled the hot bullets of guns with their blood. But one thing our predecessors have given us is the tradition of never bowing to power. Are the current rulers unaware of Baboo Nooroz or have they forgotten Hamid Balochās execution? The memory of state rulers is so weak that they seem to think that the collective memory of the Baloch is also like theirs. But the oppression of the past seventy years is deeply embedded in the collective memory of the Baloch, from the lullabies of mothers to poetry, the Baloch still carry in their hearts all the wounds that Islamabad has inflicted upon them.
Honourable Journalists,
The state is using various tactics to make our comrades abandon the political struggle, from enforced disappearances to threatening phone calls, in an attempt to crush the unwavering struggle of Baloch solidarity against the ongoing oppression in Balochistan. Many incidents that have never been brought to the media because we believe that the collective suffering of the Baloch people is more important than our own lives, and that is why we have never brought the state pressure upon us to the media. However, today, it is critically necessary to unveil the state conspiracies and oppression against the Baloch Solidarity Committee and its leaders and activists. From the media narratives against us to accusations of being terrorists, facilitators, and foreign agents, the public is well aware of it all. But none of these things will ever deter us from our political struggle.

Honourable Journalists, Baloch Nation, and the International Community!
We want to inform you that the state pressure on our comrades has reached its peak. Last week, our organisational activist, Gul Zadi Baloch, was forcibly disappeared from her room in Quetta. Around 11 a.m., 20 unrestrained personnel from the CTD (Counter-Terrorism Department) entered her room. Gul Zadi was grabbed by the arm, assaulted, and shown weapons, told, “Come with us, or we will take you away.” In addition, the books, mobile phones, and laptops in the room were taken away. Gul Zadi was forcibly taken to the CTD camp, where she was subjected to severe mental torture. She was threatened with abandoning the Baloch Solidarity Committee, discontinuing the struggle for missing persons, and remaining silent, with threats of being killed if she refused. They said, “You are all just a bullet away.” She, along with her comrades, was explicitly threatened. The CTD told her that they knew her entire family, even her brother. They hinted that if she did not abandon the human rights struggle, harm would come to them. After several hours of illegal detention, she was told that they were watching her and could take her to their office at any time. They advised her to visit the CTD office voluntarily, or they would forcibly take her again. Since her release, CTD personnel have been calling her and threatening her via WhatsApp, telling her not to speak about the oppression she faced, or else she would be harmed.
Honourable Journalists,
Speaking about public rights in Balochistan or speaking out against state oppression is akin to risking oneās life, and we are fully aware of this. Nevertheless, we believe that at this critical juncture, where our very survival is at stake, individual security holds no meaning. This is why we are putting our lives on the line for this struggle. We know that the state can kill us, forcibly disappear us, and target our families with retaliatory actions, but we are resolute that we will never be silent against the oppression of our fellow citizens, nor will we abandon our political struggle. We make it clear to the state and its institutions that whether it is the fear of enforced disappearances or threatening phone calls, we will not back down from our political struggle. We will not remain silent against enforced disappearances, and we will not abandon our legitimate, peaceful struggle under any circumstances. If you are afraid of our political struggle, then cease your inhuman acts, stop forcibly disappearing the Baloch, end the oppression on Baloch land, and grant the Baloch nation the right to live on their land. Our demands and struggle are centred on a few points, and all of them are entirely constitutional and democratic.
We make it clear to the state institutions, media personnel, intellectuals, and the public that our struggle is completely peaceful, entirely within constitutional boundaries, and has full support from the Baloch people. We are neither agents of anyone nor part of any conspiracy, nor are we or our activists asking for any personal comforts. Our struggle is against the atrocities being committed against the Baloch people, and as long as these atrocities continue, no one should be under any illusion that threats, enforced disappearances, or death will deter us from this struggle.
Thank you.
